Seyfried Struggled To Comfort Grieving Co-stars
AMANDA SEYFRIED was personally affected by the death of NATASHA RICHARDSON last year (09) - because she worked with the star's grieving husband LIAM NEESON and her mother VANESSA REDGRAVE within weeks of her passing.
The British actress died in March 2009 following a skiing accident in Montreal, Canada, the same week Neeson was due to finish shooting thriller Chloe with the Mamma Mia! star.
Filming was halted until after Richardson's funeral, when the Irish actor bravely returned to the set to complete the movie.
And Seyfried admits his hasty return to work was tough, because she struggled to find the words to help him through the tragedy.
She tells Britain's Stella magazine, "There's no way of knowing what to say or what to do. To be a source of comfort, which is what you want to be."
And the 24 year old faced the same dilemma when she began shooting her latest film Letters To Juliet, because the movie marked Redgrave's first big screen role since she lost her daughter.
She says, "We didn't really talk about it."
