Pictures emerging from the internet show star Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw continuing her romance with Chris Noth otherwise known as Mr Big.
The pair's ongoing love affair is not the biggest surprise, however Charlotte (Kristin Davies), who was widely believed to be infertile, is seen sporting an enormous prosthetic baby bump.
She is rescued by Mr Big in the scene, however, but appears angry and more than a little worked up. Speculation is that the plot sees her character discovering Mr Big cheating on Carrie.
According to reports a large number of paparazzi were on scene to record the first Sex and the City shooting since the final season ended in 2004.
Kim Cattrall, who has featured in productions on London's West End since the show came to an end, had reportedly been an obstacle to the film being made because of money demands.
These were eventually resolved, however. An insider told the New York Post: "It was never going to be made without all four girls - it just couldn't have been."
The film is expected to be released on May 30th next year.
