Emmy Award-winning set decorator Jim Mees has died at the age of 57.
He passed away at his home in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania last Friday (29Mar13) after losing his year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mees worked on several Tv shows, including The Jeffersons, Gilmore Girls, 90210 and Bones, but is perhaps most famous for his collaborations on the Star Trek series.
He used his creative talents on The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise, for which he received five Emmy nominations. In 1990, Mees shared the award for Art Direction/Set Decoration for an episode of The Next Generation.
As well as his onscreen work, he also designed live shows for musicians including The Beach Boys and Diana Ross.
