Sean Kingston, the Jamaican-American singer best known for his hit track 'Beautiful Girls', has been hospitalized after crashing his jet-ski into a bridge, according to the New York Daily News. Sean Kingston is reportedly in a critical condition in hospital after his watercraft ran into a small bridge that connects Miami's Palm Island and MACArthur Causeway.
Kingston and a female passenger were rushed to the Jackson Memorial Hospital following the crash. A spokesman for the singer's Epic record label said in a statement, "No further details are available at this moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes". Officials are currently still investigating the cause of the accident, but it is thought that alcohol did not play a part. The 21-year-old had tweeted about the holiday weekend earlier in the day, saying, "South beach...nicee...bout to get fresh and cause that movie!!..." After news of the crash began to circulate, celebrity friends of the singer rushed to Twitter to air their concern, Rihanna tweeted, "Sean we praying for u baby", while rapper Nicki Minaj said, "My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family." LL Cool J wrote, "I hope and pray that Sean Kingston recovers quickly.. staystrong".
