Sean Bean - Sean Bean Loses Bid To Build Roof Terrace At London Home
Sean Bean has lost his bid to install a roof terrace at his London home after local residents complained the actor would have a clear view into neighbouring properties.
The British star applied to local authorities for permission to make over the flat roof at his house in the capital's Belsize Park by turning it into a terrace, which would be partly obscured by a privacy screen.
However, officials at Camden council have rejected his request after Bean's neighbours voiced their concerns that the terrace would offer views into their living rooms and bedrooms.
Planning officials ruled the scheme would "demonstrable harm to the amenity of adjoining occupiers," according to the London Evening Standard newspaper.
The Lord of the Rings star, 53, bought the four-bedroom home in 1998 for a rumoured $2.4 million (£1.5 million).
