Seal Refuses To Take Off Wedding Ring Despite Split

Seal - who this week was blamed for the split between he and wife Heidi Klum thanks to anger issues - presented himself in a manner rather at odds with the towering inferno that many now presume he is as he took to US Television to promote his album, coming out calmly and rationally over the situation surrounding his failed marriage.

Following the split of Katy Perry and Russell Brand at the end of last year, neither were keen to leap straight back into the spotlight with Brand only recently holding a press conference ahead of a return to US television and Perry no-showing at the People's Choice Awards - albeit along with everyone else. However former Adamski man Seal was in fine form on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' just days after the news broke, wearing his wedding ring and claiming that he and Klum were still very much in love with each other. Explaining why he still had his ring on, the singer said "I think it's just pretty much a token of how I feel about this woman. We have eight years. Just because we have decided to separate doesn't necessarily mean you take off your ring and you're no longer connected to that person," going on to add, "We will be connected in many ways 'til the rest of our lives.. through our children and also through this tremendous admiration, respect and love that we have for each other."

A surprising reaction indeed. The UK's Daily Mirror also reports that he was also talking to Tavis Smiley on Pbs and expressed the need to maintain dignity throughout the break up and, again, claiming the pair still loved each other - which makes us wonder, is he simply clutching at straws or is there some truth in the matter
