Rockers Screaming Females have scrapped a series of upcoming dates to allow singer Marissa Paternoster to recover from viral infection mononucleosis.
The group scrapped its summer tour but hit the road recently with the reunited Garbage.
In a statement released to Wenn on Monday (08Sep12), the bandmates confirmed they'd complete the tour with Shirley Manson's rock group before taking a break.
The statement reads: "Since falling ill with mononucleosis in May, Marissa has been experiencing severe chronic pains that have rendered it very difficult for Screaming Females to tour.
"To ensure that Marissa has adequate time to heal so that Screaming Females can continue, it brings us great sadness to announce that all scheduled dates after October 10th will be cancelled. Thank you for understanding and we will see you all in the very near future."
He'll be performing a new residency at an intimate theatre.
