Scream 4 To Shoot This Spring
'Scream 4' will begin shooting in May.
The fourth installment of the Slasher franchise, which reunites Courteney Cox-Arquette, her husband David Arquette and Neve Campbell, will hit cinema screens in April 12, 2011 - 11 years since the last 'Scream' film, Variety reports.
Legendary horror director Wes Craven, who helmed all the previous 'Scream' projects, returns as director.
Dimension Films head Bob Weinstein said: "'Scream' has been such an integral part of Dimension's history and I look forward to continuing the franchise."
Craven - whose other work includes 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' and 'The Hills Have Eyes' - reportedly held out from signing up to the sequel until he had read the script by Kevin Williamson - who also worked on the previous instalments.
Although 'Scream 3' was supposed to be the end of the series, the fourth movie is expected to open up the possibility for a second trilogy with 'Scream 5' and 'Scream 6' being muted.
No details have yet been confirmed about the storyline of the film.
