Scott Storch - Scott Storch Sued By Aspiring Singer
Hip-hop producer and recovering addict Scott Storch has been hit with a lawsuit from an aspiring singer who claims the music mogul was "incapable of producing any recordings" because of his drug problems.
Treena Ruberg claims she paid $30,000 (£18,750) up front in October (11) to work with Storch on six songs.
Storch, who has collaborated with stars including Dr. Dre, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, allegedly told Ruberg he had struggled with drug problems before but insisted he was "cured of his past problem" and would be able to complete the tracks by the end of November (11).
However, Ruberg claims the producer "continued to have a drug addiction and other personal problems which rendered him incapable of producing any recordings".
In papers filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by Tmz.com, Ruberg is demanding the $30,000 fee back, as well as an additional $70,000 (£43,750) for out-of-pocket expenses, such as plane tickets, studio time and having to hire another producer.
A representative for Storch had not commented on the claims as WENN went to press.
