Sarah Jessica Parker keeps her tree "naked" until Christmas Eve (24.12.09).

The 'Did You Hear About The Morgans?' actress plans to stay up late with her actor husband Matthew Broderick and decorate their festive pine so it is a surprise for their three children on Christmas morning.

She said: "It will stand naked until Christmas Eve, and we'll put the children to bed and we'll decorate the tree when the children are in bed. We'll leave cookies and milk for Santa, and oats for the reindeer, and wake up Christmas morning and they'll start ripping through presents."

This year will be a special year for the family, after they welcomed two new daughters into their brood in June.

Sarah is "excited" about buying presents for her little girls, Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge, for the first time.

She explained: "I bought dolls for the first time in my life. It was very exciting."

The 44-year-old actress - who also has a seven-year-old son James Wilkie - is proud of her shopping skills.

She added: "It's all here in my head, like all women across the globe. We don't need to write down things, we don't need to make lists."
