Sarah Ferguson - Sarah Ferguson Sorry For Taking Loan From Sex Offender
Sarah Ferguson has publically apologised for accepting a loan from a convicted sex offender.
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York and former wife of Prince Andrew, says she regrets taking a loan from Jeffrey Epstein, a man who spent time in jail for soliciting an underage prostitute, reports the Evening Standard.Ferguson hit the headlines in 2010 when the poor state of her finances were revealed and it has since been revealed that she accepted $22,500 from American financier Epstein so that she could settle a debt. The 51-year-old insists that she knew nothing about the man's criminal background, adding, "I am just so contrite I cannot say. Whenever I can, I will repay the money and will have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again", she went on to add, "I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf".
Prince Andrew has also come under fire for reportedly becoming involved in the transaction but Sarah Ferguson defended her ex-husband, saying, "The duke is a man who does not know how to tell an untruth or behave dishonourably".
