Sarah Ferguson 'On The Verge Of Bankruptcy'
Sarah Ferguson claims she is "continually on the verge of financial bankruptcy".
The Duchess Of York makes the startling confession in the first episode of her new six-part documentary series 'Finding Sarah' - which is being broadcast on Oprah Winfrey's television network OWN - and also revealed she is struggling to repay three personal friends and three businesses she owes money.
Speaking on the show, she said: "I don't really understand finances at all ... At the moment I'm just worried about paying off people that need to be paid off. There's three firms and three personal friends."
Sarah - who is being paid £200,000 for participating in the series - claims her money worries have arisen since she was exposed last year offering an undercover reporter access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew for £500,000.
She said: "I lost all my jobs, I lost all my staff, I lost everything. I've tried very hard not to go into financial bankruptcy."
The 51-year-old redhead admits her former spouse - with whom she has two daughters, Princess Beatrice, 22, and Princess Eugenie, 21 - has been a great help to her and even lets her live in a wing of his official residence, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, for free.
She said: "If I didn't have him, I'd be homeless."
