Sarah Ferguson - Sarah Ferguson Agreed With Royal Wedding Snub
Sarah Ferguson, the disgraced Duchess of York, has described the decision to snub her from last month's royal wedding as "quite right". During an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show, Sarah Ferguson says her own behaviour was to blame for being excluded from the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, reports Reuters.
Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince William's uncle Prince Andrew, said, "I think what I felt was that I went through the phase of feeling so totally worthless and that it was quite right they didn't invite me. Why would they? why would they invite me?". Ferguson suffered public humiliation after she was video-taped accepting $40,000 in exchange for access to Prince Andrew. The 51-year-old said she flew to Thailand once she knew she hadn't been invited to the wedding, adding, "I felt that I ostracized myself by my behaviour, by the past, by living with all the regrets of my mistakes, that I sort of wore a hair-shirt and beat myself up most of the day thinking and regretting why did I make such a mistake?". The Duchess' daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie both attended the lavish ceremony on 29th April 2011.
Sarah Ferguson is set to appear in her own reality television series titled 'Finding Sarah', which premieres on Oprah's Own network on 12th June 2011
