Abc - Sarah Bolger Cast As Sleeping Beauty In 'One Upon A Time'

In the original tale, Princess Aurora fell into a deep sleep after she pricked her finger on Maleficent's spinning wheel. She is revived only by a kiss from a prince. Maleficent's character was introduced into the first season of the show, which starred Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison and Josh Dallas. The role of Maleficent is played by Kristin Bauer van Straten. In Once Upon A Time, Princess Aurora's character is a spoilt girl, from a privileged background, who is "willing to sacrifice everything for love," according to Entertainment Weekly.

The character of Maleficent is also being given her own moment on the silver screen, courtesy of Angelina Jolie. The movie, entitled 'Maleficent' is scheduled for a 2014 and will star Jolie in the title role, alongside Elle Fanning and JUNO TEMPLE.
