SANDRA BULLOCK has given her first interview since her divorce from husband JESSE JAMES, and she used the time to speak about her recent adoption of seven-month-old Louise Bardot. Talking to MATT LAUER of the 'Today' show, the OSCAR winning actress said of her new arrival, "He's from New Orleans. He's a little Cajun cookie." However, Bullock admitted it was a relief when the adoption was finally complete, saying, "It was a long process. I did not circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. He was always mine, you know. It wasn't like I felt like someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, 'I think you're a fit parent'."
Although details of the adoption have only recently been made public, the star of 'The Proposal', adopted Bardot back in January, and puts the secrecy down to her closest friends, insisting, "It takes good people with integrity. I mean, I read something like, how did someone keep a secret, and it's... you know... human beings exist that have integrity that know how to keep their mouth shut."
In 2009, Bullock won the 'Best Actress' ACADEMY AWARD for her role in 'The Blind Side', and it has been reported she is set to star in the upcoming Christmas film 'Jingle', however, a release date is yet to be announced.
