Sandi Thom - Sandi Thom Delays Album Amid Health Battle

The I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair) hitmaker has spent weeks battling the painful skin disease and is now recovering at home.

But her health woes have forced her to put back the release of her fourth studio album, Flesh and Blood, which was due to hit stores next month (Aug12).

In a series of posts on Twitter.com, Thom writes, "Hi guys, bit poorly past few weeks - had shingles! yikes! need a little R n R (rest and recuperation) back home. Release of F & B postponed for only a few weeks."

She then shared a photograph of herself lying in a hospital bed and hooked up to an intravenous drip, adding, "This was me in the hospital a couple (of) weeks back just after i got shingles!"
