Sam Worthington Speaks About New Movie The Debt
Sam Worthington star of blockbuster movie AVATAR speaks about his new role in action thriller 'The Debt' which follows the lives of spies who are tasked with tracking down a former Nazi war criminal.
Speaking about the characters to the Boston Globe the Australian actor said "We all have secrets that we harbour, baggage we don't want to let out, and the more you don't confront those demons, the bigger and more intrusive they get.'' 'The Debt' is a remake of the 2007 Israeli thriller 'Ha-Hov' and WORTHINGTON plays young Mossad agent, David, who along with his team are sent to East Berlin in the mid-1960s to hunt down the feared Surgeon of Birkenau. The movie also stars Helen Mirren, JESSICA CHRISTENSEN and Tom Wilkinson and involves some carefully choreographed fight scenes that WORTHINGTON jokes he didn't really enjoy "I'm a lover; I'm a scaredy cat".
The Terminator: Salvation star was born in England but rose to prominence leading in a variety of low-budget Australian films before working with James Cameron on AVATAR which was the first movie to gross over $2 billion. He is currently filming Man on a Ledge which is about an ex-police officer who threatens to jump off a Manhattan hotel and is due to be released in 2012.
