Sam's dress was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative designer of Alexander McQueen, who famously created Kate Middleton's gown for the Royal Wedding in April 2011. Aaron's suit was a bespoke creation designed by TOM FORD, while their daughters Romy Hero and Wylda Rae also looked radiant at the ceremony. The couple were also joined by Wood's two daughters from her previous marriage, to art dealer Jay Jopling. They announced their engagement in October 2009, and welcomed their first child together in July 2010. The fact that Sam is twice the age of her new husband has never been an issue for the pair, despite it raising eyebrows in the press. She said in an interview last year, "In the old days 'controversial' in a relationship meant same-sex or mixed races. Now, it is a woman with a younger man. That would not happen with a man". Taylor-Wood recently accepted an Obe from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace for her services to the arts.

It's the second surprise wedding to be announced this week, after supermodel Agyness Deyn tied the knot with the actor Giovanni Ribisi, despite the fact that nobody knew they were even dating.
