Daniel Craig - Sam Mendes And Daniel Craig's Sneaky Bond Chats
Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes risked "legal ramifications" after contacting each other about the new James Bond movie during the lengthy shutdown of the production.
Work on Skyfall was suspended through most of 2010 following the financial problems surrounding Mgm, and a frustrated Craig ignored a ban on discussing the movie with his director to come up with the perfect Bond blueprint for the film.
Craig says, "We weren't supposed to talk to each other. There were all sorts of legal ramifications, but we did, you couldn't shut us up about it. We were very excited."
Work on the eagerly awaited Bond adventure finally resumed in December, 2010 and Mendes has credited the delay for improving his work on the movie.
He adds, "The Mgm delay allowed us the time to think about the story... and in that time Daniel was able to articulate the areas that the character could go."
Skyfall is due to be released later this year (12).
