Salma Hayek - Salma Hayek Quizzed By Mob Boss' Wife Over Beauty Secret

The Frida star portrays the leader of a drug cartel in the gritty Oliver Stone film and she had to speak to various criminals and their relatives to help prepare her for the role.

Hayek admits the experience was a "little bit" scary, but she was left bemused by one mob boss' wife who became obsessed about discovering the stunner's beauty secrets.

She says, "We had to meet some very interesting people that are in that world or have been... I only met one woman though, that had been married to somebody (high up in a drug cartel) and she had a lot of information for me, and so we talked, but she also wanted to get a lot of information, like, 'Do you do Botox?' because we were about the same age, and she's like, 'Do you have any very good plastic surgeon doctors that you can recommend here?' She wanted to get all the details!

"She was like, 'Well what do you do?' I said, 'I don't do Botox, I don't do fillers, nothing.' She was like, 'You have to tell me what you do! I know, you do growth hormones!' And I'm like, 'Honey, look at me, I'm 5'2, do I look like I do growth hormones?' Apparently it's something that you take not to grow but to stay young, but I don't take that either."
