Salma Hayek - Salma Hayek-pinault's Daughter Mimics Mum's Awful French
Salma Hayek-Pinault's five-year-old daughter is shaming mum to brush up on her French - because she constantly has to translate for the actress.
Little Valentina is already tri-lingual - she can speak her mother's native Spanish, her father Francois-Henri Pinault's native French, and English - and the Frida star admits the kid is beginning to leave her behind.
She says, "I'm now like five years in Paris (sic) and I still can't speak French and it's so humiliating... Not only (does) she have to translate everything for me, but she has developed the talent for imitating and of course my husband has a very thick accent in English, and so do I and she has, like, no accent and she makes fun of us.
"She can imitate me trying to speak English and me trying to speak French... She can do any accent and I can't speak any language."
And the actress' daughter has also started attacking mum's penchant for shopping for designer bags and shoes after becoming a little animal rights activist following a meeting with ape activist Jane Goodall.
Inspired by a school fundraising drive to save endangered chimpanzees, Valentina is now trying to save money for wildlife charities any way she can.
Hayek-Pinault explains, "Since then everything she counts in a chimpanzee-saving kind of a measure (sic)... She doesn't want me giving anything away because it's like, 'No, they should pay and then with the money we can save another chimpanzee'.
"If I get a new bag, she goes, 'How many chimpanzees do you think we can save with the money you spent on that bag?' It's terrifying."
