Sylvester Stallone - Sage Stallone May Have Been Dead Long Before His Body Was Found

Sage Moonblood Stallone, son of actor Sylvester Stallone, may have been dead for some time before his body was found in the early hours of yesterday.

When police arrived to inspect the room he was found in, which was littered with beer cans and rotting food, they noted that no hints of foul play or suicide were present at the scene. It is unclear who he was found by, but it is thought to have been either his house maid or girlfriend.

TMZ are reporting that Sage was more than likely a victim of his own folly, most likely dying of an overdose inflicted by an as yet unknown substance. Sources from the scene have told the celebrity news site that forensic teams and LAPD officials found "numerous empty pill bottles" in the area where Sage's body was discovered. Still, as mentioned, there has been no confirmation as to what the bottles may have contained.

The room in which he was found was void of any suicide note or indication that the overdose was planned, the site also reported. Although given the circumstances his body was found in, coroners are believed not to be ruling out suicide.

A similar source has also told TMZ that Sylvester is a "wreck" and understandably in deep stage of bereavement - and not yet commented on the situation with the media.
