Sacha Baron Cohen - Sacha Baron Cohen Facing Battery Charge Over Ryan Seacrest Stunt?

Sacha Baron Cohen could "theoretically" face criminal charges over the stunt he pulled on the Oscars red-carpet on Sunday (February 26, 2012). Dressed as Admiral-General Aladeen from his latest movie The DICtator, Cohen spilled what he described as "the ashes of Kim Jong II" over Ryan Seacrest's tuxedo.
According to E! Online, Seacrest could in theory "press charges against the actor", though it is thought the correspondent took the stunt in good spirits. Following the incident, co-presenter Kelly Osbourne laughed, "I've still got the giggles. It's the best thing I've ever seen!", to which Seacrest replied, "Have you never seen that before?!... Let me walk you through how this all came together.I had heard that the DICtator wanted to come and wanted to do an interview and wanted to do it in character. Very deliberate, all of this". Criminal defense expert Troy Slaten tells E! News that the actor could be charged with criminal battery whether Seacrest wants him prosecuted or not. Afterwards, Seacrest had hinted the stunt was not planned, saying, "In the back of my mind, I thought, 'OK, there's no way a conversation with him in character is going to go as planned. As we were talking, I could just feel that something was about to happen, and sure enough it did. But I had two jackets. I was red-carpet ready!".
Baron-Cohen hit the headlines earlier this week, after Oscar organizers suggested he would not be welcome at the ceremony dressed as The Dictator.
