S Club 7 - S Club 7 Back Together: Ain't No Reunion Like An S Club Reunion
21 March 2012Originally, the band was the brainchild of Simon Fuller, who has also been responsible for the careers of The Spice Girls and Will Young, and went on to manage Rachel Stevens' short-lived solo career. Fuller is apparently not involved in the comeback, though. A source close to the band told The Mirror "The guys have been inundated with approaches and offers over the past three years, but always said no. But following a series of talks and meetings, they decided to go for it." They also said that everybody in the band is "frantically" trying to get back into shape for the forthcoming concert schedule.
If they play their cards right, S Club 7 could well end up replicating the success of Steps' reunion, which landed them a sell-out arena tour and a number one album, to boot. Whether or not they'll be filming an updated version of their TV show Miami 7 is yet to be seen. Furthermore, it's unclear if their spin-off band, S Club Juniors are getting in on the act, too.| Comment on this article |
