Ryan Seacrest Coy On Replacing Matt Lauer
"I see you doing this as long as you want to," Seacrest said, after being asked about rumors that he was looking to land the 'Today' seat. "So the question is: How long will you be on the 'Today' show?" he added, to which Lauer never answered.
Nbc are currently in the midst of a network battle with ABC for viewers, according to the New York Daily News, after the latter pulled within 137,000 of Nbc, largely thanks to calling in former breakfast TV staple Katie Couric to host 'Good Morning America.' In reaction Nbc have called upon Sarah Palin to host, whilst Seacrest's announcement yesterday was an aim to keep ratings high. "I've worked withthe E! network for years and Nbc Universal and E! are in the same family," Seacrest said. "The plan is for me to join the Nbc family and to continue to have a role at the E! Network. The first assignment will be to join the primetime team for the Olympics at Nbc."| Comment on this article |
