Ryan Gosling Death In Austria Is Just Another Hoax

Ryan Gosling has become the latest celebrity to fall foul of Global Associated News' string of death hoaxes. Luckily, the Hollywood hunk, actor and lifesaver extraordinaire is definitely still alive and well and has been spotted arriving at LAX airport.

The fictional death report surfaced this morning (April 18, 2012) and read "Actor Ryan Gosling died while filming a movie in Kitzbuhel, Austria early this morning - April 18, 2012." The report then went into more detail, saying "Preliminary reports from Austrian Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 50 feet to his death in a remote area of the Hahnenkamm mountains while on-set during the filming of a movie. Specific details are not yet available. The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. Additional details and information will be forthcoming."

It didn't take long to confirm that, in fact, Gosling was nowhere near the Austrian mountain range, or, indeed, in Austria. Or Europe, even. He was safe at home in the States, where he recently saved a British journalist from getting run over by a taxi, in New York City. Gosling's next scheduled movie is 'Lawless,' in which he stars alongside Christian Bale and Rooney Mara. The movie is due to be shot in Austin Texas; there aren't too many mountain ranges there, so Ryan should stay safe.
