Ryan Adams - Ryan Adams Is A Lemonhead

Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has joined Evan Dando's The Lemonheads as the group's new drummer.

The New York, New York hitmaker will also produce the band's first album of new material since the release of The Lemonheads in 2006.

The news comes a month after Dando announced that bassist Juliana Hatfield would rejoin The Lemonheads for an upcoming tour with The Psychedelic Furs.

The new album will also feature founding member Ben Deily, who quit the group in 1989.

In a tweet, Adams reveals his new role in the band is a "dream come true", adding, "Looking forward to producing the new Lemonheads album this weekend with orig 2 songwriters Evan & Ben with @julianahatfield on bass."
