The She hitmaker headlined the prestigious venue and sang several of his tracks before inviting Crowe to share the spotlight with him.

Introducing the actor as "the gladiator of guitar" in reference to Crowe's 2000 battle film, the pair delighted the crowd with covers of Elvis Presley's Evil and Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues.

In a post on his Twitter.com page on Thursday (24May12), Crowe writes, "It is true, sang with Elvis Costello and the Imposters at Royal Albert Hall last night. What a privilege."
