Rupert Everett - Rupert Everett: 'I Love Funerals'

Actor Rupert Everett has confessed to a macabre secret - he loves attending funerals.

The My Best Friend's Wedding star has got used to heading to memorial services as he ages, but he is adamant the occasions are enjoyable rather than upsetting.

He tells The Observer Magazine, "I love death! I adore it! I've got to that age, I'm over the yard arm. I love funerals. Good hymns, nice church, funny-looking people pottering down the aisle. I hate parties and I never go to people's houses, but I love funerals."

Everett also insists he feels the same even when a close member of his family has passed away, adding, "I loved (my dad's) funeral. It was the opening of my funeral season. It was a real moment for me."
