Rubio's Label Deny Visa Scandal
LATEST: PAULINA RUBIO's record company has denied reports the singer's been refused U.S. residency due to drug use, insisting the Latina's move to Miami, Florida went ahead without any problems. The 36-year-old and her husband Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera are alleged to have travelled to the U.S. consulate in Juarez, Mexico in September (07) to apply for their visa, and both underwent a medical exam at the International Medical Clinic as part of the process. According to Mexican newspaper El Diario de Chihuahua, the couple's tests came back positive for marijuana use, while Vallejo-Nagera's also showed results for ecstasy and cocaine - resulting in the rejection of their visa application. But Rubio's label, Universal, has disputed the media reports, telling PeopleEnEspanol.com, "Contrary to what is being reported, Paulina Rubio and her husband, Nicholas Vallejo-Nágera, go about their normal lives in the United States and may enter and leave the country freely."
