Royal Family Will Sue French Magazine Over Photos Of Duchess Topless

The latest development in the saga, which will surely go on for some time, is that the Royal Family intend to sue the French magazine over the publication of the illicit snaps.

"St James's Palace confirms that legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France," said a spokesperson for the couple. According to Reuters, a court in Nanterre, near Paris confirmed that the couple's lawyers had filed a motion to expedite the procedure. Closer's publishers will be heard on Monday, the report reveals. This latest scandal is a real blow to Buckingham Palace, who were hastily trying to undo the harm done by the publication of naked pictures of Prince Harry in recent weeks.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are understood to be upset by the scandal, which has occurred as they undertake official business overseas. Just yesterday, Kate made her first foreign speech at a hospice in Malaysia and their work has been over-shadowed by the publication of the topless photos.
