BLUR rocker-turned-wannabe politician DAVE ROWNTREE is pessimistic about his chances of winning a seat in the U.K. Parliament at next year's (10) general election.
The drummer is taking time out from his music career to fight for the Cities Of London And Westminster constituency as the Labour Party's official candidate.
Rowntree has vowed to give the election his all, but concedes he has little chance of winning what is considered a very safe seat for Labour's rivals, the Conservative Party.
The 45 year old tells Britain's Guardian newspaper, "I'm not a betting man, but if I was, even I wouldn't bet on me winning."
