Rowe Wins Default Judgement In Defamation Suit

MICHAEL JACKSON's ex-wife DEBBIE ROWE has won $27,000 (£16,875) in damages after a Los Angeles judge ruled in her favour in a defamation lawsuit against an alleged confidante.

Rowe, who gave birth to the King of Pop's two eldest children, took legal action against Rebecca White last July (09) after the Florida resident gave a controversial interview to U.S. news show Extra.

During the programme, White revealed contents of an email allegedly sent to her by Rowe about the custody battle over Prince Michael, 13, and Paris, 11, following Jackson's death in June (09).

She went on to accuse Rowe of only challenging the Jackson family for custody of the kids for the money - allegations the former nurse denied.

White failed to respond to Rowe's lawsuit so a judge passed a default judgement during a hearing at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday (03Mar10).

However, Rowe was only awarded a fraction of the $500,000 (£312,500) she had demanded in compensation for emotional distress, medical and attorney's fees and punitive damages.

Last summer (09), Jackson clan matriarch Katherine was made permanent guardian of Rowe's kids with the pop superstar, along with eight-year-old Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, who was born via an unnamed surrogate.

Rowe was granted limited visitation rights.

	Lesson learned do not show up for court and you lose and the other side wins by default. Kinda like when you quit a game. Law and Game yes they can be intermixed ( I like to be irrevent it is fun)!:}

	you go mrs Rowe-Jackson those people have always accused your ex-husband, and you of wrong doing. I saw a tape when you stated a curse word at the press. If i could only say the same things to nosiey lieing people, and fight them in court. I admire your courage as a widow. people want to know y0ur story. but if your not ready to reveal it to the world they shouldn't make up story's jest to get the attention of the world. you do desire your private life. and you need time to reflect on your future. but have you considerd to write a book on your life as the second ex-wife of the late pop king. Your children are beautful with eyes that are delicate and sweet, and are well mannered as she said "My daddy was the bestest father ever" God bless her Mrs. Rowe and I hope the very best for them and you, girly.
