Rourke Attacks Pet Store Owner Over Sick Dog Sale
The dog-loving movie star grew so angry about the conditions at Hot Dogs (Puppies) in South Beach, he confronted the owner at the store and earned himself a ban in the process.
The store's sick pet problem came to light at Christmas (06) when the Sin City tough guy, a former boxer, bought a puppy as a gift for a pal - and quickly learned the pooch had a fatal viral infection.
The dog died just after Christmas (06).
He says, "It stuns me that people can be so cruel to sell sick animals just to make a buck."
But store owner MARYSOL TOBON, who faced off with Rourke and three angry friends, insists the actor is simply trying to "tarnish our good name."
