Ronson To Climb Kilimanjaro
The superproducer has agreed to tackle the 19,000-foot (5,890 metre) peak in Africa with a number of pals, to help raise money for a good cause.
And he is taking the trek seriously - declaring that he will give up booze, cigarettes, and drugs to improve his fitness.
He writes on his personal Twitter.com page, "I told my friend Kenna that I would attempt Mt. Kilimanjaro with him and several others as part of his charity climb. I was sober.
"Goodbye cigarettes, alcohol, recreational pharmaceuticals. Hello, um, whatever else is left... cheese plates?"
Ronson won't be the first celeb to tackle the climb - Take That star Gary Barlow rounded up pals including Girls Aloud singers Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, and Irish singer Ronan Keating to reach the summit earlier this year (Mar09), raising $2.1 million (£1.4 million) for British charity Comic Relief.
