Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood's radio show is helping him beat his addiction to booze.
The guitarist has battled an ongoing drink problem for decades, and despite multiple stints in rehab, he has always returned to his hellraising ways.
He entered a clinic for the eighth time in 2010 following a violent altercation with his then-lover Ekaterina Ivanova and vowed to kick his habit altogether.
The star has so far managed to stay sober - and he credits his award-winning radio show on Britain's Absolute Classic Rock station with giving him new focus in his life.
He tells Britain's Daily Express, "The radio's been a kick up the a**e for me and while I've been keeping sober, it's been a way to express myself in a new, focused way. It has helped me stay sober because I've had to concentrate but I also get the freedom.
"It's what I do, I deal with music. I get energy from it."
