Rolling Stones To Publish Exclusive 50th Anniversary Book

The Rolling Stones are planning to curate a special book, to commemorate their 50th anniversary. The book's publisher, Hyperion, has released a statement revealing that it will be the only "authorized book curated by the Rolling Stones to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary."

In 2003, According to The Rolling Stones was published; a hefty tome attributed to Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. However, this new book is set to include new writing, as well as previously unpublished photographs of the band. The book, entitled The Rolling Stones: 50, will be published in autumn 2012. Usa Today have reported on the release, quoting Hyperion's President and Publisher as saying "An anniversary such as this calls for an amazing book. Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie have been hard at work-approaching the book's content from every conceivable angle-to make it so." Usa Today's Cindy Clark spoke to Mick Jagger, who confirmed there will be "lots of lovely things" happening to commemorate their half-century.

The Rolling Stones have reportedly played live in front of more people over their 50 years than any other band on the planet, according to Hyperion. They have also had number one hits in every country in the world that produced a popular music chart. Keith Richards' own memoir, entitled simply Life, was published in November 2010 and stayed on Usa Today's best-selling books list for 24 weeks.
