Rolling Stones Logo Gets Makeover
The Brown Sugar hitmakers unveiled the sleek new take on their classic tongue-and-lips design to mark their half-century in rock 'n' roll ahead of a planned string of celebratory gigs later this year (12).
Fairey, best known for designing U.S. President Barack Obama's Hope posters, has added a circular red and white banner reading The Rolling Stones - Fifty Years, and incorporated the number 50 into the band's name.
The tongue, created by art student John Pasche, first appeared on the Stones' Sticky Fingers album sleeve in 1971.
