The Rolling Stones - Rolling Stones Hitting The Road For 2013 Tour

The Rolling Stones are heading back out on the road for nine concerts in the U.S and Canada, as well as a historic show at London's Hyde Park.

The veteran rockers got back together last year (12) to perform 50th anniversary shows in the U.K. and the States, and on Wednesday (03Apr13) they announced another clutch of gigs for fans in North America who missed out.

Sir Mick Jagger and his pals will play in cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago in Illinois, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The tour has been dubbed "50 and Counting" as a nod to the Brown Sugar hitmakers' 51st year in music and kicks off next month (May13).

The Rolling Stones will play California concerts in Oakland, San Jose and L.A. before heading to Las Vegas, Anaheim in California, Toronto, Canada, Chicago, Boston in Massachusetts, and Philadelphia.

After wrapping the North American tour, they will return to the U.K. for a headline slot at Britain's famous Glastonbury festival in June (13) and a huge gig in London's Hyde Park a week later on 6 July (13).

The band last played in Hyde Park in 1969, just two days after the death of bandmember Brian Jones.

During the show, frontman Jagger famously wore a white dress onstage and recited poetry, but the singer insists this concert will be different, joking to the Bbc, "It's great to be playing the centre of London, in July, it should be a beautiful day... I'll try and keep the poetry to a minimum... the white dress to a minimum too. (But) I can still get into it. I can still get into the zippers (of the dress)... It's in my wardrobe."

Guitarist Keith Richards adds, "It's going to be a great summer, man. All the gigs we haven't done or wanted to redo are popping up."
