Rolling Stones - Rolling Stones Exhibit Set For Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum

An extensive collection of Rolling Stones memorabilia is to go on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to mark the band's half-century in the spotlight.

Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction will chart the rockers' rise to success and will take up two and a half floors of the institution's museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

The retrospective, set to open on 24 May (13), will feature personal items, rare artefacts and video footage exploring the Rolling Stones' legacy, while organisers are also planning a series of special lectures and interviews.

In a statement, the Museum's president and CEO Greg Harris says, "The Rolling Stones are the epitome of rock 'n' roll. This first-ever exhibit gives us an opportunity to tell the story of one of the definitive rock 'n' roll bands. The experience should be on every music fan's destination list this summer."

The Hall of Fame display, which will be open until March 2014, is the latest event celebrating the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary - they marked the milestone with shows in London and the U.S. in November (12), and there have been rumours of a world tour scheduled for this year (13).
