Rockers Pay Tribute To Entwistle At Charity Show

AC DC stars BRIAN JOHNSON and CLIFF WILLIAMS joined late rocker JOHN ENTWISTLE's longtime drummer STEVE LUONGO to honour the dead THE WHO star in Atlantic City, New Jersey last week (12Jul07). Johnson and Williams raced through classic AC DC numbers with session musician Luongo and others at the Classic Rock Cares benefit show, held to raise funds for the John Entwistle Foundation. Ex-Deep Purple and Rainbow star Joe Lynn Turner was also among the performers. The rockers ended the charity show with an all-star jam rendition of AC DC's Highway to Hell. The John Entwistle Foundation provides free music education and instruments for underprivileged children. Entwistle died from a heart attack in a Las Vegas hotel room in June, 2002.
