The New York band will play its last show with bassist Tyler Sargent and keyboardist Robbie Guertin at the Cbgb Festival in Manhattan's Times Square on Saturday (07Jul12).
Guertin was the first to announce his departure on the band's website on Tuesday (03Jul12), writing, "Being a member of Clap has been an incredible experience, but I have decided to move on and see what's next. I will continue to make music with my other band, Radical Dads, pursue miscellaneous artistic endeavors (sic), and also grow some vegetables. I am excited to see what else might come my way."
Sargent followed in Guertin's footsteps and posted a similar note online on Friday (06Jul12), revealing he is "in the process of forming a presidential exploratory committee for 2016".
He also encouraged fans to check out the band's free set at the Cbgb Festival, adding, "I hope to see you on Saturday. Expect an epic bass solo."
The duo's departure leaves lead vocalist Alec Ounsworth, guitarist Lee Sargent and drummer Sean Greenhalgh in the band.
