Rigor Mortis rocker Mike Scaccia has passed away aged 47 after suffering a seizure on stage.
The heavy metal group was performing at the Rail Club in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday night (22Dec12) when Scaccia collapsed and could not be revived. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A Facebook.com post on his bandmate Bruce Corbitt's page reads, "My brother is gone! The only reason I am who I am is because of this man. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't even be in a band. Rip, Mike - the greatest guitar player I ever knew. I'm proud to say that I was always Mike Scaccia's biggest fan, and always will be."
Scaccia formed Rigor Mortis in 1983 with schoolmates Harden Harrison and Casey Orr but he also spent a considerable portion of his career performing and touring with Al Jourgensen's Ministry, beginning in 1989.
