Paradox rocker Charly Steinhauer is in for a sedate Christmas - he is set to undergo open heart surgery next week (begs24Dec12).
The guitarist and frontman of the German band is opting to have the risky procedure on Christmas Eve (24Dec12) and he's not in the least bit nervous.
He tells Blabbermouth.com, "I will survive and continue to write good music for you."
And while Steinhauer is counting on the operation going smoothly, he knows his days as a performer may be numbered: "Paradox will never die. Whether I can ever again go on stage again, I do not, however, know."
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
