Slipknot - Rock Stars Pay Tribute To Jim Marshall At London Concert
Rock stars including Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Slayer guitarist Kerry King, and Zakk Wylde turned out to pay tribute to guitar amp pioneer Jim Marshall at a celebratory concert in London over the weekend (22-23Sep12).
The musicians came together with a number of other performers, including Whitesnake's Doug Aldrich and Phil Campbell of Motorhead, to play at the Marshall 50 Years of Loud gig at London's Wembley Arena on Saturday night (22Sep12).
The concert celebrated the 50th anniversary of the brand and honoured its founder, who died at the age of 88 in April (12).
The stars played a set covering famous rock tracks such as Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell, Ace Of Spades by Motorhead, and Smoke on The Water by Deep Purple, and the evening also featured video tributes to Marshall from stars including Brian May, Slash and Dave Mustaine.
