Robin Williams Returning To Television In Advertising Sitcom?
The show is described as a "single-camera, half-hour comedy, set in the world of advertising". Kelley would write and produce the show, with Bill D'Elia as executive producer. It would also be a return to the half-hour sitcom format for Kelley, who hasn't taken on this programme structure since Doogie Howser, MD. The Oscar-winning actor hasn't had a recurring TV role since he starred in Mork and Mindy, from 1978 - 1982. When his stint on the show had ended, he turned his attentions to Hollywood movies and went on to become one of the most highly-respected actors of our time. If the talks are successful, they could bring the Hollywood star back to the TV screen for the first time in 30 years.
Williams isn't the only star to be returning to the small screen either; Michael J Fox is said to be working through the finer details of a new sitcom, based on his experiences with Parkinson's Disease. Fox retired from acting in 2000 after he was diagnosed with the disease but will be making a return in autumn 2013.
