Robin Gibb - Robin Gibb Wakes From Coma After Brother's Singing?

Robin Gibb has stunned doctors at a private London hospital after waking from his coma and attempting to speak. The outlook appeared bleak for the former Bee Gees singer after he slipped into a coma following aggressive chemotherapy and two emergency operations, though Robin has overcome "incredible odds", according to Dr Andrew Thillainayagam.
The news comes after Robin's wife Dwina Gibb told her local newspaper The Impartial Reported that brother Barry Gibb has been singing in an attempt to wake the Bee Gees star, saying, "His brother Barry, his wife Linda and son Stephen came over from America. Barry was singing to him. Thousands of people are saying prayers every day". Whether Robin could hear the singing is unclear, though Dwina also revealed that he cried when she played him Roy Orbinson's 1962 hit 'Crying', reports Bbc News. Speaking after the musician woke from the coma, Dr Thillainayagam said, "Only three days ago, I warned Robin's wife, Dwina, son, Robin John and brother, Barry, that I feared the .We felt it was very likely that Robin would succumb to what seemed to be insurmountable obstacles to any form of meaningful recovery".
Gibb was diagnosed with cancer around 18 months ago, during an unrelated bowel operation. His brother Maurice Gibb died of a twisted intestine in 2003.
