Robin Gibb Vows To Sing Again As Remarkable Recovery Continues
An understandably delighted RJ Gibb - son of Robin and co-composer of the Titanic Requiem memorial piece alongside his father - told Itv news "Two days before that they said they'd thrown the kitchen sink at him, that it was time to make plans because he was in God's hands and such, but he beats the odds again and they gave him an under-10% survival chance and he has beaten the odds ... he really is something else.''
Gibb's coma came about after complications with pneumonia, the star's already weak body seemingly not being able to cope with the illness after spending so long fighting liver and colon cancer. His recovery happened at the weekend though and stunned the family, friends and doctors who'd been at his bedside in hospital ever since he slipped into unconsciousness. His wife Dwina said "He is fantastic at the moment. He is laughing, he is joking, he is really happy. He just wants to get out.'' Incredible.
