Robin Gibb - Robin Gibb 'On The Road To Recovery' Following Hospitalisation
Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has assured fans he is "on the road to recovery" following his hospitalisation earlier this month (Nov11) and has thanked his devotees for their support as he continues to recuperate.
The Stayin' Alive hitmaker sparked concerns when he was admitted to a medical facility for the second time last week (beg14Nov11), just weeks after he was hospitalised with abdominal pains and treated for inflammation of the colon.
A flurry of unsubstantiated reports following the health scare suggested the star is battling liver cancer.
Gibb is still refusing to shed light on his condition, revealing simply that he's "been very unwell", but he's taken to his blog to reveal his health is improving.
The 61 year old writes, "I wish to thank my family, friends and fans and the many thousands of people who do not know me but have enjoyed Bee Gees music and have wished me well. I am very touched by your love, kindness and support.
"This concern from people all over the world has demonstrated the depth of feeling and love that the Bee Gees have achieved over the years. It is humbling and I take your prayers and good wishes for my health very seriously.
"I have been very unwell and am now on the road to recovery, and your prayers and wishes are a great tonic to me. I believe because of you I will get well and my deepest love goes out to you all. Robin."
