Roberta Flack Shows Support For Slain New York Teen
Unarmed 18-year-old Ramarley Graham was shot dead by police in his Bronx apartment on Thursday (02Feb12). Officer Richard Haste and Sergeant Scott Morris have been stripped of their guns and badges pending an investigation surrounding the incident.
And the boy's tragic story captured the attention of Grammy Award winner Flack, who met with Graham's grieving family members at the weekend (04Feb12) to offer her condolences and a $500 (£312.50) contribution towards a donation drive.
She told reporters, "(The Grahams) are carrying on together as a group to express their outrage. They are carrying on together to get justice."
According to the New York Post, a grand jury may be convened to consider criminal charges against the cops.
